Are you digitally savvy, imaginative and a lover of Leeds? Keen to take part in the city's biggest ever digital adventure? You are! Well then, gather four or five like minded friends and prepare to battle, team against team, for the prestigious title of CheckIn CheckOff champions 2011.
CheckIn CheckOff will take you on an adventure through the lesser-known parts of Leeds, with completion of digital check-ins and tasks unlocking top secret locations and checkpoints.
Teams will depart the Leeds Corn Exchange from 2pm.We recommend arriving at least half an hour to an hour earlier to enjoy our very special CheckIn CheckOff Primo's meal offer:
£6 for a Gourmet Hot Dog or Deli Bagel, fries and any soft drink or Miller Beer.
Event ends with a prize ceremony / after party at Temple Works. Very limited tickets* available - be quick!
IMPORTANT! What will you need?
- A smartphone
- Sensible shoes. You will not be able to compete if you wear heels or open toe shoes. Make sure your soles are slip free as areas may be icy.
- Warm, protective clothing.
- A torch.
- Phone charger or spare battery.
- Your imagination and digital know how.
- Pocket money (for the presentation after party).
- A few accounts / mobile apps: Twitter, QR code scanner, Foursquare, Facebook, Google Goggles.
- Optional extra: Zap! app from Android or iPhone market & http://www.zapmenow1.co.uk/. Download for bonuses and goodies along the way!
Please note:
Team tickets require a minimum of 4 -5 people. If you have purchased a team ticket, you must have 4-5 team members with you on the day of the event.
Individual ticket holders do not need to organise their own teams. Teams will be created on the day. We cannot guarantee that you will be placed in a group.
This is an 18+ event. Alcohol will be available for sale at the presentation ceremony / after party. If you are (or look to be) under 25 years of age, be sure to bring ID (national identity card, current licence or passport).
Drink responsibly. Whilst drinks will be available en route to our final destination, be aware that if you arrive intoxicated**, you will not be allowed to enter.

CheckIn CheckOff
Combining digital trickery with lesser-known parts of Leeds, CheckIn CheckOff is an ambitious project that wants people to see the potential in both the under-appreciated parts of the world of technology, as well as of the city itself.
Its main aim is to use technology to explore the city, whilst uncovering some of the hidden gems in Leeds. We know that Leeds Digital Festival will be home to some of the most exciting projects that the UK has to offer, and we hope to underline the role that the city itself has played in fostering this success.
Ultimately, we want to inspire people to work with us in future, or move forward in their own unique way. This is an alpha project - we hope to undertake beta testing in the next few months, or even skip to version 1.0. What we do know is that there are many digital doors to open, and we hope to take a peek behind a few of them with CheckIn CheckOff.
